  New Member Information:
   
  Requirements to join the KBUA:
   
 
  1. Each member must join the Kentucky High School Athletic Association (See below)
 
  2. Members must attend all meetings and clinics
 
  3. New members pay $25 annual membership dues for first year, one varsity game fee ($53.50) afterwards.
 
  4. Members must pay annual assigning secretary fee of $35
 
  The KBUA is open to anyone regardless of gender, age, race, religion, national origin, sexual orientation or special needs.
   
  KHSAA Membership:
   
 
  1. Applicant must be a graduate of an accredited high school and be at least 18 years of age.
 
  2. Applicant must complete a KHSAA 2007-08 New Official's Application. This application can be found at www.khsaa.org/officials or can be sent to you via mail at address below. All background questions must be answered accurately to qualify for licensing approval. Background checks are routinely made.

  3. Applicant must pay KHSAA membership dues of $40 for first sport and $25 for each additional sport.
 
  4. The KHSAA offers a discounted license of $25 and $15 for full-time college students (12hrs) with verification of a full-time class schedule.
 
  5. Applicant must take Part I Federation exam (take-home, open-book) and have a 70% or above passing grade returned before March 3, 2008.
