| Welcome to the Official website of the Kentuckiana Baseball Umpires Association |
| |
|
The KBUA is an association of high school baseball umpires located in the Louisville, KY area.
We strive to provide each of our member schools with the best officiating by providing our umpires with the best training available.
The KBUA is the only organization sanctioned by the Kentucky
High School Athletic Association to provide
baseball umpires in the 6th and 7th regions. We service 35 schools in the Louisville area. |
|
| |
| Our members come from all walks of life and share a common passion for high school baseball.
We begin our season each January, meeting at least once a week until opening day.
Members review the high school baseball rules, discuss changes, ask questions and become better umpires as a result. We also conduct
regular mechanics clinics both indoors and, weather permitting, outdoors in real game experience. This gives the veterans a chance to
'shake the dust off' and allows our newer members a chance to go through the motions along with the veterans before stepping out onto the field. We believe
that interaction with veteran umpires is essential for the growth of the next generation. Among the KBUA's membership are NCAA, NAIA and Juco College
umpires, as well as Professional baseball umpires, both past and present.

The KBUA encompasses a wealth of baseball knowledge, years of experience and
an atmosphere of excitement for the game of high school baseball. We are proud of the accomplishments of the association as well
as its members and invite you to come out and be a part of high school baseball in Louisville, whether it be behind the plate or
from the stands. |
